Timescales for gaining possession (Section 21)
Q1: If a landlord needed to take possession of his tenanted property back for his own use, and issues a Section 21 notice early on in the tenancy, would that notice be valid if were to expire before the end of the fixed term of the tenancy?
Q2: If yes, and the tenant were to refuse to vacate the property, what would be the minimum and maximum timescale for courts, bailiffs etc, until the landlord could occupy the property once again?
Q3: Are the courts generally likely to favour the Tenant (couple and their 7yo boy) and give them generous time to find somewhere else to live? The tenant has always paid rent on time etc.
