Defective Section 21 Notice?
Further to our phone conversation yesterday - I got a bit confused with my dates. I told you I served the notice on the 11th July, when I actually served it on the 10th
(a Saturday). The tenancy runs from the 12th of each month. The expiry date of the notice is 11th September. Is this ok? I've not read anywhere that there has to be clear business (as opposed to weekend) days between delivering the notice and its being considered served.
Also, I assume a letter from the tenant surrendering the tenancy should read something like 'I hereby surrender the tenancy of (property address) as of (date)' and should be signed and dated by tenant. Is there anything else it would need.
