Housing Benefit family abandoned house owing rent (they made shortfall of HB), all contents of house have been stripped and removed.

Extensive damage has been done throughout the property involving hundreds of large holes punched or kicked into the walls (plasterboard). One of the children had a severe anger and social behaviour problem and as a result kicked the walls in repeatedly throughout the property.

The entire property will need to be renovated.

Is there any course of redress with the Social Services regarding compensation of any kind? If it is known this child has behaviour problems and they know he is going to damage any property he lives in, is there anything in place for the authorities to assist with the repair of the damage he causes. Clearly they will have moved to another rented property, rental paid by housing benefit, and again the property they occupy will be devasted and the repetition continues. I do not have the funds ready to repair the property but need to get it let as quickly as possible so I dont fall into arrears with the mortgage
