Hi,

We've made a claim through the local County Court and the joint ex-tenants now have 14 days to respond. They were married but separated during the tenancy and now live apart.

One tenant is making very little effort to respond to us and is (unwisely!) leaving her ex-partner to do all the communication and attempts at negotiating. What would happen if one of them responded to the claim and the other didn't?

We only have one form - on the Notice of Issue - to request the judgement but might need to fill it in differently for each of them.

Please help.
