Hi, We bought a new-built apartment in 2008 (I Know!) with a 125 year underlease. It turns out that the head leaseholder gave us a lease 2 years longer that they had on the land! They have now asked the Land registry to change the start date of the lease to 2 years earlier meaning we only have a 123 year lease. The Land registry has given us the opportunity to object.

Does anyone know what will happen if we object? Will this prevent the change? Do we have the right to some compensation?
