Arrears and counterclaim
I have persued a former tenant for arrears to the court only for him to turn around and counterclaim for damages under the case of Ferguson v British Gas Trading Ltd. Have you heard of this case? It involves harrasment and £10k+, something I'm confident the court will rubbish.
Whilst I know the counterclaim is baseless and I can prove this, the tenant is a law student and I dont want to be left googly'd on the final ball by this guy - what is the water tight version of collection of rent in court? Is there a recent case or law that outplays any card he plays?
(full of metaphors there I know, but its the best way of asking the question).
