Less than a year after the national roll out of Right to Rent checks the Immigration Act 2016 has now introduced criminal penalties for non-compliance on top of the existing civil penalties. Stakes are now higher than ever and landlords need to ensure they understand their obligations. This course gives an overview of UK immigration law and breaks down the 'right to rent' checks so landlords will not be criminalised.


This course is designed to explain the complexities of immigration law in a way that landlords and agents will understand. The new criminal penalties have caused consternation amongst some but this course will arm delegates with the knowledge and understanding to perform right to rent checks and stay on the right side of the law.
