Rent Smart Wales Agent Licensing Online Training Course
Under the Rent Smart Wales Scheme Agents, individual or company, who carry out lettings and management work at rental properties in Wales on behalf of landlords must become licensed and have until had to be licensed by 23 November 2016 to comply with the new law. As part of the licence application Agents must successfully complete a training course (including a short assessment) to support this (please refer to the Rent Smart Wales website for full details of compliance before purchasing this course).
This RLA online course is specifically designed for Agents (Landlords are required to complete a separate course; for more information, please click here).
The RLA are proud to be one of the approved providers of the training courses under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. This online course is specific for Agents involved in letting rental properties in Wales.
The course takes each Agent through the entire lettings process and covers which legislation and regulation must be followed at each step. Once you feel confident with each section you may then take the assessment which you are required to pass to meet the requirements. A certificate for successfully completing the course will only be issued on passing the assessment.
The course is exclusively available online making it convenient for you to complete any time within the 90 days. The course is accessible for 90 days from purchase and can be visited at any time, however please note you only have one attempt at the end of course assessment so it is important to study ALL sections before attempting it. If you are not successful you will have to re-purchase the online course and start again.
To identify if you and your staff need Agents licences please visit the Rent Smart Wales website and complete the online tool.
