Free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors

From October 2015 ALL privately rented properties will be required to have smoke alarms fitted. The RLA recommends that Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors are installed, and subsequently positioned near, wherever there is a room with a gas or solid fuel appliance/fire or boiler.

Save on Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Please visit the RLA guides for more information:

Fire & Rescue services around the country will be provided with an allocation of smoke alarms and CO detectors, but supply is limited and restrictions apply so it is best to lodge interest soon.

The national scheme is #Alarms4Life. More specific details, where available, are described below.
